On February 29 and March 2, Sonya Yoncheva brings “her delicate, dreamy, detailed Mimì” (The New York Times) to the Sofia Opera, making her house debut and Bulgarian operatic debut.
The sold-out performances of La Bohème are conducted by Boian Videnoff and also feature Liparit Avetisyan as Rodolfo, Veselin Mihaylov as Marcello, Anton Andreev as Schaunard and Nikolay Voynov as Colline.
Sonya made her role debut as Mimì in 2014 at the Metropolitan Opera and performed it in the last ten years at venues such as the Teatro alla Scala, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Paris Opéra, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and the Bayerische Staatsoper.
